I was looking at some of my favorite music, and comparing it with the music everyone else seems to love. The only significant difference I could find were the lyrics--The pattern I see is my favorite songs seem to have deeper meanings, lyrics that you could listen to multiple times and get a different experience each time. The lyrics many people listen to nowadays are just... simple, sometimes crude and profane, and sometimes just plain silly or stupid. I usually don't listen to lyrics, and even if I know what they are and sing along, I usually don't think about them. It makes it easier to rediscover songs when you get bored analyzing drum and bass lines.

Hey---I'm too lazy to note specific songs. I didn't say ALL of their songs are amazing! :)
Because so much of what i do with music revolves around exercise for me a pretty much all that counts is the beat...If it has a catchy up-beat temp than that works for me. I woudl say that a lot of the songs i use I have to get the edited version...so sad.
