All I remember from the first time was coming home from the doctor, and wincing from the excruciating pain he inflicted on my skin. I showed off the yellow markings that were left on my skin to my sisters. I was very let down when they weren’t even impressed. I went through a bunch of pain for nothing.
The second time I remember very vividly. I remember trying to figure out why I was in the waiting room a second time, mom wouldn’t tell me. I was worried. There was no way the doctor would do this to me AGAIN! And yet, a little voice in my head told me it was so.
It was the same doctor as last time. He looked like that Han Solo guy Emily liked from Star Wars, only he wore really big glasses. He sat me on the table and turned to get the thermos. THE thermos. I couldn’t help it. I started screaming and crying, I couldn’t believe he was going to do this to me again! He quietly asked me to stop crying and screaming because I’ll scare off the other patients in the waiting room. I didn’t care! I kept bawling. Mom looked embarrassed. He got up and shut the door and proceeded to take a long q-tip and dip it in the thermos which now had fog coming out of it. He pressed it to areas on my hands, feet, arms, then finally was reaching for my face. The worst part. I writhed and turned, hoping he wouldn’t get my face, but he got it in the end.
Red hot icy fire burned my skin, it hurt so bad! And mom was just in a hurry to go into the big blue van and go home (I don't blame her, I would too). All I wanted to do was sit down and cry. But when mom was walking out of sight, I hurried and chased after her, hiccupping with hysterics.
A couple of days later, the warts turned yellow again, itched again, only this time they disappeared.
I never had to get my warts burned (frozen?) off again.

The pains of swimming
So...
You notice in big meets, or at least watching the olympics (trials) on tv, that swimmers wear tight suits with legs.
The latest fashion in the swimming world is light rubbery material.
I'll divulge my secret: it takes me FIFTEEN minutes to get into my suit!!!!
Last night as I was getting into my suit, my ring fingers really hurt. I looked down, and my skin was rubbed off and hanging off of my fingers! Lovely.

Oregon ho!
So.... I'm at a meet in Oregon. My first impression of Oregon is...trees! Trees, trees, and more trees! It was a lovely green feast for my eyes. Here's the picture of the pool, even though it's hard to capture how cool it is. It is literally enclosed and hidden in a huge cluster of trees. So nice.
This is the awards ceremony. The coach of the champion in the event gets to hand out the medals to the swimmers. Swiss won the 200 breaststroke, and set a meet record in it!

I'm doing pretty well so far. I've split a 25.58 in the 50 free on the relay (I went second), which is pretty good. I got a best time in my 100 free this morning with a 57.70, but took sixth tonight with a 58.02.
I swim the 200 free and 400 IM tomorrow, 400 free on Friday, and the 50 free, 200 IM on Saturday.
Saturday night we watch Batman!
Sunday morning we fly home.
